One of our core values at Tri-Cities Church is generosity. In the context of the church, generosity is giving cheerfully and willingly to God’s mission. While the Old Testament talks a lot about tithing (giving 10% of one’s income), the New Testament encourages us to become financially free so that we can give beyond the 10% standard. The cool thing is God promises to bless the generous so that they can increase in generosity. Check out these scriptures on generosity: Malachi 3:8-12, 2 Corinthians 9:6-15, 1 Timothy 6:17-19.
