THE BIG GIVE

Every year Tri-Cities Church takes up a big offering in November, above and beyond our regular offering, to express our thankfulness and to support various ministries. This year’s offering, on November 19, is an opportunity for you to give big to support some amazing work happening in our community!  Our goal: $18,000Below you will learn a little bit about the ministries we are supporting this year:

Joshua's Closet

Joshua’s Closet is a ministry founded by TCC’s own Raven Family. The goal of Joshua’s Closet is to help adolescent parents become responsible parents, high school graduates, college graduates, and life successes. The story of Joshua’s Closet is a powerful testimony to God’s ability to use a difficult time in one family's life to to support other families going through a similar experience.  It’s a reminder that God doesn’t waste anything, even our pain.

Tri-Cities Family

Food Co-op

This the very first ministry that Tri-Cities Church started. It enables us to help stabilize families by assisting them with their food and nutritional needs. Unlike a traditional “pop-in” food pantry, the food co-op is comprised of member families from local schools. This structure allows us to build relationships with the families we serve. The ultimate goal is not just to meet a physical need, but also a spiritual one.

Adopt-a-School Initiative

This is a new ministry at Tri-Cities Church driven by the belief that the local public school is valuable for delivering education, social services, and addressing the needs of children and families, helping to break the cycle of poverty. We want to pour love and resources into one of our often-overlooked neighborhood schools: Paul D. West Middle School.  We want to listen and learn about the needs within Paul D. West as they are expressed by teacher, administrators, parents, and students and develop a strategic plan for addressing those needs.
